How to crossgrade to iPhone

It seems we need to clarify this everywhere, because a lot of people are asking.

If you own a previous license for SplashID, you can have the desktop software for free but you need to buy the handheld application on the App Store. See our purchase pages for more info:

http://www.splashdata.com/iphone

Some customers will not even need a new registration code, if they have a new enough license for Palm or Standalone, so just download it and try it.

SplashID Desktop Download:

If it asks you to register, and you own a copy for Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, Palm, or Desktop Only, contact us for a code:

You still need to buy the handheld application from the App Store though.

To import your data from the previous version, see this FAQ:

    Hi there,
Thanks for bringing this application for iPhone. I have couple of questions though.

First of all, I don’t understand why it can’t sync with its desktop component over USB (cable) connection. I don’t think Wi-Fi (or wired) sync should be used for this type of sensitive information.

Secondly, the card# of the credit card(s) either masked (which is good) or truncated. Tapping “Edit” appears to be the only way to see the full number but it might cause some unwanted changes. Then what’s the point carrying around all the info if I can’t see it properly when required?

    Cheers,

@ anon – USB sync is not possible because there is no provisioning for it in the SDK. So we developed our own sync service on top of Bonjour networking. Credit cards will no longer be truncated in the upcoming 4.02 release.

@ thumbsup – our iPhone applications are not localized yet. We will tackle this issue later this year.

Justin, nice to see you branching out onto other platforms, but where’s the love for your long-time (over 6 years) customers! I’m on a BlackBerry and need Mac desktop sync capability. Love your products, but I need to be able to sync!

    Thanks in advance,
