Motorola’s hot new Moto Q9h global Windows Mobile smartphone, available at AT&T wireless stores, includes a software bundle featuring SplashID Password Manager. We’ve really enjoyed working with Motorola’s MotoDev team on the project. Kudos to them and to AT&T for making great software like SplashID available to their customers.
Here’s the full press release:
Motorola’s first U.S. smartphone for globetrotters is about to arrive in AT&T stores, featuring a comprehensive software bundle for such users.
AT&T and Motorola announced today that the Moto Q9h will be available exclusively to AT&T customers in the U.S. beginning tomorrow. The 3G-powered Moto Q9h global is the first Moto Q smartphone sold in the U.S. with worldwide capabilities.
The Moto Q9h global sports a QWERTY keyboard, 3.6 Mbps HSDPA support, Windows Mobile 6, built-in GPS capabilities, a 2-megapixel camera and supports both enterprise- and consumer-oriented applications and services. The latter include the debut of My Q Paks, a suite of third-party application bundles designed to meet a Moto Q global user’s lifestyle needs. The My Q Paks includes applications from well-known developers such as Handmark, Mobimate and SplashData. The Moto Q9h global also comes with an Opera browser, Documents to Go, Good Mobile Messaging 5 as well as seven dedicated shortcut keys.
Like all Windows Mobile 6 smartphones, the Q9h global offers Direct Push Technology for up-to-date e-mail delivery, as well as automatic synchronization of Outlook calendars, tasks and contacts through MS Exchange. The Moto Q9h global will also offer Microsoft’s new remote management software coming in the second quarter of 2008.
AT&T’s services such as TeleNav GPS Navigator and TeleNav Track (workforce-management solution) are also supported by the Q9h global, in addition to entertainment services like Mobile Music, CV video service, MobiTV and Xpress Mail push e-mail.
For the holidays, the Motorola Q9h global is expected to be available for $200 with a two-year contract and a $50 mail-in rebate.
I just purchased the Q9 from ATT and it doesn’t have the SplashID software pre-installed.
Curious if things changed, or how to get the software?
You should find that software bundles called Q Paks are available for download. SplashID is featured in 2 of the Q Pak bundles.
